Apple ‘Discovery’ is a superb early dessert variety, prized for its crisp texture, refreshing tangy flavour and attractive colouring. One of the first apples of the season, it begins cropping from as early as July, making it perfect for enjoying fresh fruit straight from the garden.

The fruits have a distinctive pink-green skin with white flesh delicately flushed pink, giving them strong visual appeal as well as excellent eating quality. ‘Discovery’ is particularly popular for fresh eating, offering a bright, clean flavour that’s best enjoyed soon after picking.

With good natural disease resistance and dependable performance across the UK, ‘Discovery’ is a robust and rewarding choice for home growers. Grafted onto semi-dwarfing M26 rootstock, it remains a manageable size while still producing generous early crops.
