Sow outdoors
March-July: Sow thinly 1cm (1/2in) deep and in rows 20cm (8in) apart directly in harvest location. Keep soil moist at all times until seedlings are established.
Tips
No need to thin, just pull when onions are young and slender. Sow little and often for continuous supply. Spring onions perform well in containers and are quick to crop. September sowings can be overwintered.
